Who Is This Chick?

Hi Everyone! I am so glad you're here. On my blog. READING IT! 
I know the point of you clicking on this was to figure out who I am so I should probably get started with that. Well if you haven't figured it out already my name is Samantha Read, but everyone calls me Sam. I am 18 years old and by the time this trip starts I will be fresh out of high school. I currently live in a small suburb outside of Chicago, IL called Park Ridge. I am originally from Salinas, CA and moved into the midwest burbs when I was 6 years old with my family. I grew up in a community of strong believers through South Park Church and am happy to continue to call it my home church. I have had a heart for missions and a global outlook for as long as I can remember. I am so excited to be given this opportunity to show God's love through the work of this team and this organization. I am extremely grateful for everyone who has been praying for me and the work that this team will be able to do in the future.
